An elegant fragment of the Art Deco era, this brooch showcases a natural Scottish button pearl (5mm) set at its heart, its satin lustre enhanced in contrast to the cool platinum. Four bars radiate outward in an open bud panel design, their precision softened by the pearl’s organic beauty. Six small old-cut natural diamonds, each set in an open-back collet, framed by fully engraved platinum borders.
Measuring 6.3cm in length and weighing 5.7g, it bears the inscription A & J Smith Aberdeen Platinum at 15. A&J Smith Jewellers Aberdeen, who were our designers Scottish pearl specialist ancestors.
