Retail Jeweller

Chrissie Douglas
was asked what she thought of the
retail market, "...I find it interesting that the main trends in jewellery have followed the economic climate. When I started in 1989 everyone had had enough of the puffed-up 1980s and the pendulum had swung from flashy jewellery to 'nothing there'. Then, as the economy grew at the end of the 1990s, opulence emerged, which then developed
into the conspicuous spending of the mid-noughties."
